It’s the season of harvest. We can see the trees are full of black Jaboticaba here in Mingnan Village, Mingcheng Town, Gaoming District. Covering an area of 6.7 hectares, Jaboticaba Orchard is located in the Qianli Jiahe Integrated Demonstration Area of Agricultural and Cultural Tourism. It’s expected that the trees will be ripe for picking in March, 2023. By that time, the fruit picking scenic attraction will be open to the public and a cultural festival will be held to celebrate the harvest.

Qianli Jiahe Integrated Demonstration Area covers about 53 hectares with a total investment of over 1 billion yuan, featuring facilities such as intelligent agricultural plantations, intelligent agricultural research center and Jaboticaba sightseeing distillery.

The intelligent agricultural plantations cover an area of 25 hectares, including Jaboticaba and other rare tropical fruit trees. In addition to developing intelligent agriculture through IoT, it’s also planned to build areas like a romantic-themed leisure park, an area for children and a filming base.

Supported by the Jaboticaba Orchard, the plantations will also foster tourism with local features to enhance industry chain and increase the added value of agriculture.
