According to customs statistics, in the first three quarters of 2022, Foshan's foreign trade import and export reached 506.64 billion yuan, a 6.5% year-on-year increase, accounting for 8.3% of the total foreign trade value of Guangdong Province in the same period. Among them, exports grew by 8.4% with a value of 425.54 billion yuan.

Shunde's leading status is prominent. In the first three quarters, Shunde's imports and exports reached 2013.4 billion yuan, an increase of 7.9%, accounting for 39.7% of Foshan's foreign trade imports and exports.

The dominant position of general trade is still solid. In the first three quarters, Foshan's general trade import and export reached 356.91 billion yuan, accounting for 70.4% of the total value of foreign trade imports and exports of Foshan during the same period.

Import and export to ASEAN maintain rapid growth. Foshan's imports and exports to the countries along the "Belt and Road" and other RCEP member countries increased 16.2% and 15.1% respectively.
