On the afternoon of February 6, more than 300 municipal CPPCC members arrived at the registration site with well-prepared proposals and full enthusiasm.

Under the guidance of the staff, municipal CPPCC members signed in, registered and received materials in turn. During this year's Two Sessions, they will focus on heated issues that people concern about, and fulfill the responsibilities of CPPCC members, giving full play to the three functions of political consultation, democratic supervision, participation in the administration and discussion of state affairs.

"Though this is not my first time to attend, I am still very excited." Zeng Yuanzhong, standing member of the CPPCC Foshan Municipal Committee, chairman of Guangdong Daming New Energy Technology Co., LTD., said that this time he planned to submit suggestions on optimizing business environment by supporting private small and medium-sized enterprises to become pioneers of high-quality development. He hoped that Foshan could solve financing problems for SMEs, continue to deepen reform, enhance the awareness of active service and other aspects.

Zhong Hongwei, a municipal CPPCC member and a staff member of Chancheng District Education Development Center, brought three proposals this year, involving the construction of high-skilled talents, the promotion of "double reduction" (ease the burden of excessive homework and off-campus tutoring for students undergoing compulsory education) and more effective connection between museums and primary and secondary schools. As a teacher, he will continue to further promote the high-quality development of Foshan's education with a strong sense of responsibility.

"The proposal I bring this year is about putting manufacturing industry in priority. Foshan's manufacturing industry should become a pioneer in going global with high quality." Chen Hongbo, a municipal CPPCC member and vice president of Guangdong Jaten Robot Automation Co., LTD., said that it is crucial to improve the talent policy so as to promote the high-quality development of manufacturing industry. He suggested to further strengthen the support for talents to settle down and enhance the soft power of the city.

Next, municipal CPPCC members from all walks of life will put forward suggestions and proposals on hot topics such as digital transformation, ecological civilization construction and coordinated regional development. They will earnestly perform their duties and make contributions to Foshan's high-quality development.
