Located in COXO Medical Industrial Park, the World Dental Equipment Museum officially opened on February 20, which allows citizens to deepen their knowledge of dentistry history and oral health.

Six sections to show history of dentistry

Built by Foshan COXO Medical Instrument Co.,Ltd, this museum is the world's first museum to show dentist tools industry culture and hopefully it will become a cultural landmark of China’s dental industry.

Covering an area of more than 4,000 square meters, the Museum is divided into 6 sections, including History Hall, Modern Hall, Future Hall, Meritorious Figure Hall, Immersive Experience Hall and Cultural Creation Hall. Underpinned by these priceless collection and modern technology, this museum highlights the spirit of craftsmanship and China’s intelligent manufacturing.

The Museum has brought together nearly 30,000 pieces of collection from more than 20 different countries and regions. Spanning a long period of time, these collections have witnessed the development history of dentistry in the world.

After its operation, the Museum will be built into an important cultural platform for dental inheritance, connection, innovation and development, allowing dental practitioners from the world to visit, do research and display.

Museum as medium to promote integrated development

After more than 30 years of development, Shishan Town has become one of the largest production bases of dental equipment in China, with more than 200,000 dental comprehensive treatment machines and 6 million dental handpiece per year, accounting for more than 80 percent of the national total. The annual output value of dental equipment exceeds 2 billion yuan.

On the same day, the first China Dental Culture Summit Forum was also held in Shishan Town, providing a platform of cross-border communication for dental technology, medicine, culture and art. At the forum, experts will jointly discuss the development path of dentistry to further drive the high-quality development of Shishan’s dental industry.
