Ceramist from Foshan bags silver at International Abilympics

Quan Weixiong, a ceramist from Foshan won the silver at the 10th International Abilmpics that came to a close in Metz, France on March 25. Abilympics (Olympics of Abilities) are vocational skills competitions specifically designed for individuals with disabilities to enable them to expose their unique talents.



Twenty-nine Chinese competitors have attended 20 events of 9 categories, winning 6 golds, 7 silvers and 7 bronzes and ranking fourth in the medal tally. The Chinese delegation won six golds in six events, including food carving, data processing, hairdressing, massage, crochet work and embroidery.



As the first representative of the disabled in Foshan, Quan Weixiong has brought impressive performance in the pottery event with skilful craftsmanship in a world-class competition.
