Departuring from Gaoming District, driving southwest for over 30 kilometers, and continuing along the mountain road next to Guangming Village Committee, here comes a vast green world - Yunyong Forest Farm, where the bustling noise of the city gradually fades away. This pristine forest, spanning over 30,000 acres, is the only state-owned forest farm in Foshan and it serves as a natural ecological barrier on the western side of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Yunyong Forest Farm is renowned for its abundant forest tourism resources. It covers an area of 30,117 mu with a forest coverage rate of 98.36%. Among them, 97% is designated as provincial-level ecological public welfare forests. As the largest urban green lung in Foshan, a bustling manufacturing city, it boasts the most pristine and complete forest ecosystem. Known as the "Saihanba of the Pearl River Delta," it is a true green treasure trove in the GBA.

Yunyong Forest Farm is home to a diverse range of vascular plants with 156 families, 507 genera, and 780 species, also 152 types of wild animals. The ecological service value attached has exceeded 2.6 billion yuan. The air in Yunyong Forest Farm is abundant in negative oxygen ions, with a concentration of 5800 ions per cubic centimeter. Additionally, the average temperature is 3 to 5 degrees Celsius lower than in the urban area of Foshan throughout the year.

In 2017, the "Colorful Forest Sea" theme park, Peach Blossom Valley, Flower Viewing Area were successively completed within Yunyong Forest Farm. Nowadays, flowers bloom through the whole year in Yunyong Forest Farm. Peach blossoms, cherry blossoms, lotus flowers, and large-flowered purple wisterias compete to create a picturesque scenery in the farm. The beauty of "blooming flowers in winter and spring, and vibrant colors in autumn and summer" has become a reality.

Yunlong waterfall
