The Foshan-Hong Kong-Macau Youth Entrepreneurship Base (hereinafter referred to as the Base) recently held the inaugural appointment ceremony of the first executive committee and the Youth Development Roundtable Meeting. With this event, the Foshan-Hong Kong-Macau Youth Entrepreneurship Business Link Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the Alliance), was officially established.
This Alliance is set to provide a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship for young individuals in the Foshan-Hong Kong-Macau region, contributing to high-quality development not only in Foshan but also within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Guided by the Base, the Business Link Alliance collaborates with various innovation and incubation platforms, industry associations, and youth organizations across the Greater Bay Area. The focus is on offering diverse, comprehensive, and high-quality support to incubation and graduate projects with an ultimate goal to fuel high-quality economic and social development within the Greater Bay Area.
The establishment of the Alliance is a significant step in fully implementing the provincial and municipal initiatives to drive high-quality development within the Base. Through an integrated approach of online communities and offline associations, the hub aims to enhance resource exchange and collaboration among Foshan, Hong Kong, and Macao, providing strong support for innovative ventures by young entrepreneurs in the three regions.
This year marks the two-year anniversary of the establishment of the the Base. From its opening in August 2021 to June 2023, the base has actively supported quality projects from Macau and Hong Kong through coaching, site visits, and competitions. It has successfully incubated 36 youth entrepreneurial projects from these regions, with a 100% presence of Macau and Hong Kong youth projects among the resident startups. These initiatives have led to the employment of 261 individuals, generating a total output value of over 100 million yuan, and securing more than 20 patents.
Looking ahead, the Base plans to continue its role as a leading force within the main park, aiming to attract more outstanding young talents from Macau and Hong Kong to Foshan while guiding the Alliance to provide precise and effective services for youth entrepreneurs from these regions. The overarching objective is to build bridges for talents, technology, and market integration, enhancing the sense of belonging among Macao and Hong Kong youth to Foshan.
