2023 China-Foshan Greater Bay Area Kungfu Film Week was kicked off in Foshan on November 4, and it will last until November 12. Themed on Kungfu films, it will provide a fabulous visual feast to every visitor. Here is the schedule for exciting activities.

Film Event

Date: November 11 and 12

Location: Emperor Cinema (Foshan Nova Station), China Film Cinema (Shunde OCT Harbour Plus), Jinyi Zhujiang Wanxing International Cinema (Gaoming Yingxin Square), Poly International Cinema (Foshan Nanhai Branch), Sanshui New Power Cinema (CINITY)

These five cinemas will show movies like Last Suspect, Death Stranding, Operation Moscow, Faces in the Crowd, I Am What I AM.

Ticket collection: visit the special section for Kungfu film week on Foshan Plus APP, then collect the eligible film ticket.

Let's Camp

Date: 19:00 - 22:30, from November 4 to 12

Location: Chancheng Lingnan Tiandi, Chan Gui Fang, Qiandeng Lake Baoli West Street, Gudu Bear Camping Site in Shunde OCT Harbour Plus, Gaoming Binhe Park Ecological Cultural and Creative Park, Sanshan Beer Square.

Open air film events featuring activities like intangible cultural heritage, night markets and Kungfu football will be held at the above locations. Additionally, there will be films like I Am What I Am and Kungfu on display, quick flashing show and free snacks provided.

Having a Crash with Kungfu in Foshan

Date：October 29 to November 12

Location: special Guangfo Metro Tram for Kungfu Film Week, Foshan Grand Theatre, Lingnan Tiandi, Chan Gui Fang, Shunde OCT Harbour Plus, tarmac of Sofitel Foshan Hotel, Gaoming Binhe Park Ecological Cultural and Creative Park and 100 Kungfu Corners in Foshan.

Participation: Citizens can enjoy quick flashing show and practise Kungfu at these locations.

Online Film Event

Date: November 2023

Over 38 films will be available with no charge at the special section of Guangdong Television Network TV Box.

New Generation Cultivation Program for Kungfu Films

Date: November 2023

Location: Studio of Foshan News and Media Center

This event will recruit young Kungfu lovers from Foshan and other cities in the Greater Bay Area.

Foshan Kungfu Teenager Drama

Date：15:00-16:30, 20:00-21:30, November 11

Location: Jinma Theatre

This drama is jointly created and performed by Foshan News and Media Center and Hong Kong Spring Experimental Theatre Troupe. It has been recognized at the key supporting theme project of Foshan Literary and Art Boutique in 2019.

Closing Ceremony & Music Night

Date: 19:30, November 12

Location: Foshan News and Media Center

Themed with classic Kungfu films, it will invite famous singers like Wa Yina, Liang Yuying and Long Ting. Additionally, several guests including the director of Lost in the Stars, Cui Rui, will be invited to share their Kungfu stories.
