On February 27, a large-scale folk culture parade was held in Jinfengzhou Community, Lishui Town, achieving a linkage between Lishui Lion Dance and Chaoshan Yingge Dance. At the border of Guangzhou and Foshan, the lively folk culture parade has enabled more people to get to know Lishui, building a bridge for cultural exchange and joint development between Guangzhou and Foshan.

It is understood that Yingge Dance is a folk square dance popular particularly in the Chaoshan region of Guangdong Province. The characters performed in Yingge Dance are all heroes and warriors from the classic Chinese novel "Water Margin." In 2006, Yingge Dance was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

The magnificent Yingge Dance infected every audience member at the scene. "I had heard about Yingge Dance online before, but I never expected to see it in real life. I'm so happy!" said Ms. Chen, a resident of Jinshali Community nearby.

The event also featured a Lishui specialty booth for Guangzhou and Foshan residents to experience the strength of Lishui as an industrial powerhouse. In addition, the "Flower Fairy" also joined the parade to introduce the integrated development achievements of Lishui's culture and tourism to the citizens.
