The Second China International (Foshan) Pre-made Food Industry Conference is scheduled to take place in Shunde, Foshan from March 15 to 17, 2024.

The conference, which is expected to attract over 1,000 pre-made food companies and purchasers, aims to provide opportunities for industry players to exchange ideas, learn about the latest trends and developments, and explore new business opportunities.

The event will be held at the Foshan Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. The exhibition area will cover more than 30,000 square meters.

The opening ceremony of the conference will be held on the morning of March 15, during which the first national pre-made food industry chain safety standard system will be unveiled. The standard system is set to provide development specifications for the industry from four aspects including production, packaging, warehousing, and distribution.

Additionally, the 2024 China Pre-made Food Production Enterprise Top 100 and Single Product Champion List, as well as the 2023 China Pre-made Food Industry Development Blue Book and the Guide to Pre-made Food Exporting, will also be launched.

On the afternoon of March 15, the 2024 World Gourmet Capital (Shunde) City Salon will be held, where representatives of domestic and foreign cities and the industry will deliver keynote speeches and discuss the theme of the gourmet industry and sustainable development of cities.

On March 16, a speech session by industry experts will be held, focusing on topics such as pre-made food equipment manufacturing, production and processing, food safety, and scientific technology. This session aims to provide a platform for experts to share their insights on the industry and promote the transformation of scientific and technological findings.

Later on the same day, a matchmaking event for pre-made food exports will be held, aiming to promote the export of pre-made food from Guangdong to overseas markets.

During the three-day conference, the 2024 Guangdong (Foshan) Pre-made Food Industry Expo will also be held at the same venue.

According to Luo Yixin, Chief Economist of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Guangdong has established a working system for the high-quality development of the pre-made food industry, providing policy support and creating 11 provincial pre-made food industrial parks. The province has consistently ranked first in the country for three consecutive years in terms of its pre-made food industry development index.

He added that Guangdong will continue to strengthen its efforts in cultivating and expanding the pre-made food industry, improving industrial standards, fostering technological advancements, promoting the export of pre-made food, and driving agricultural development.

In March 2023, the first China International (Foshan) Pre-made Food Industry Conference was held in Shunde, Foshan, and attracted more than 800 related enterprises to participate in the conference, more than 100,000 spectators on-site, and more than 40 million people online to watch the exhibition. The on-site signing amount hit 1.06 billion RMB.
