On June 9, the 29th Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (hereafter referred to as “GILE”) grandly opened at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. As a leading event in the lighting and LED industry, this year's GILE has reached new heights in exhibition scale, covering an area of 260,000 square meters and encompassing 26 exhibition halls. The event has attracted 3,383 lighting companies and smart technology solution providers from 20 countries and regions worldwide.
Held from June 9 to June 12, this four-day exhibition is themed "Light+ Era—Infinite Light Application." It showcases cutting-edge lighting and LED technologies, IoT solutions, lighting application schemes, lighting production technologies, luminaire design, smart technology, and spatial design, all contributing to the new "Light+" era ecosystem.
To better present the concept of the new "Light+" era ecosystem, the exhibition has established a "Light+" ecological platform, dividing exhibited products and forum activities into seven main themes: Light Intelligence (Hall 9.2), Light Health (Halls 4.2 and 9.2), Light Low Carbon (Halls 5.2 and 5.1), Light Display, Light Agriculture (Hall 5.2), Light Art (Halls 6.1 and 3.1), and Light Aesthetic Life (Halls 10.1 and 13.1).
The focus is on three core areas: Light Health, Light Intelligence, and Light Low Carbon, exploring future innovations in lighting technology, luminaire design, and system optimization to create a healthier, more comfortable, intelligent, and environmentally friendly lighting environment.
Many industry experts highlighted the increasingly important role of light technology in modern life. Its applications are vast, ranging from lighting and displays to fields like renewable energy and healthcare, with significant impacts across multiple sectors.. The key objective of this exhibition's "Light+" era concept is to explore how light can integrate and develop with other industries, transforming into new driving forces for the lighting industry's growth.
Notably, this year's GILE also introduced the "Resonance—'Light+' Ecological Platform Voice of the People" event, including five major forums, seven light application ecosystem exchanges, and appreciation conferences. It aims to explore the infinite future of light through eight key metrics: volume, traffic, sales, inventory, quality, growth, variability, and energy.
The event emphasized that in the era of variability, lighting companies must keep pace with the times, innovate business models, focus on consumer needs by offering customized services, utilize digital technologies to innovate marketing channels, and strengthen cross-industry cooperation to expand business areas for sustained market growth.
