On August 20, GUANGDONG SINO UNITED PUBLISHING CO., LTD. and Foshan Xinhua Bookstore held a strategic business meeting and signed a cooperation agreement to establish the "UN BOOX·Guzhen Xinhua" zone in Foshan's Guzhen Xinhua Reading Space, located in Chancheng District. This marks Foshan's first designated area for the sale of Hong Kong-published books. The event was attended by representatives from the Foshan Municipal Publicity Department, Chancheng District Publicity Department, and the Guangdong United Book Co., Ltd., among others.

As the 2nd Foshan Reading Festival and the 2024 South China Book Festival (Foshan) gain momentum, the new "UN BOOX·Guzhen Xinhua" space aims to provide residents with a wide range of high-quality Hong Kong SAR and international books, such as literature, history, technology, and business.

Wu Yan, a representative of Foshan Xinhua Bookstore, noted that the creation of this zone integrates the urban pattern with Foshan's rich cultural heritage. The goal is to attract more citizens to join in reading activities while providing an international reading experience, thus boosting the high-quality development of reading culture in the Greater Bay Area.

Moreover, as more people from Hong Kong move northward in search of opportunities, the launch of this project will also enhance the cultural integration between Foshan and Hong Kong, stimulating the development of reading in the Bay Area.
