In September 2021, Nanhai Guicheng initiated the renovation and upgrade of Diejiao Village, altering the spatial structure while preserving the historical context. Properties with historical value were repaired, some dilapidated properties were demolished and rebuilt into faux-ancient buildings, and others were restored to their original state, blending modern and traditional styles into a seamless whole.

Nowadays, Diejiao Town in Nanhai's Guicheng has transformed into a Lingnan water town where ancient charm meets modern flair. The buildings are constructed along the streams, with residents living by the water, creating a scene that resembles a living painting.

Under the cover of lush trees, small bridges and flowing water intertwine, resembling jade embedded in the landscape, connecting the vibrant lives of countless families.

Century-old streets and traditional Lingnan architecture complement each other, with the rustic charm coexisting harmoniously with modern design. The pervasive dragon boat cultural elements add the perfect finishing touch, giving this land a unique allure.

Since the renovation of Diejiao Town, every corner has offered a picturesque view that attracts visitors to linger.

Many new coffee shops have sprung up as part of the renovation.

The street scenes of Diejiao Town have become popular spots for citizens to take photos and check in.
