From May 24 to 25, the 2024 China Dragon Boat Open Tournament (Guangdong Qingyuan Station) and the 18th Qingyuan Dragon Boat Championship concurrently took place on the Beijiang River in front of Fengcheng Square, Qingcheng District, Qingyuan.

A total of 32 teams, including 20 top professional teams across the country and 12 local teams, comprising approximately 800 athletes, gathered at this adrenaline-pumping event.

Accompanied by the beat of drums, paddlers sprinted to the finish line. The renowned Shunde Louvre Dragon Boat Team achieved a grand slam in the men's events, while the Sanya Dragon Boat Association clinched the overall championship in the women's group.

Founded in 2011, the China Dragon Boat Open Tournament is one of the top dragon boat competitions in the country, noted for its high level of competition, widespread attention, and broad participation. This event marked the first time the Tournament was held on the Beijiang River in Qingyuan, one of the "hometowns of dragon boat" in China.
