The Dragon Boat Festival holiday will begin on June 8 and end on June 10 this year. Guangzhou Metro will make some adjustments to service hours to meet the increased travel demand during this period.

Some metro lines in the city will extend their operating hours by one hour on June 10. This includes Metro Line 1 (6:18 am - 11:18 pm), Line 2 (6:11 am - 11:51 pm), Line 3 (including the north extension) (6:14 am - 11:17 pm), Line 5 (6:13 am - 11:23 pm), Line 7 (6 am - 11:42 pm), and Line 8 (6:14 am - 11:45 pm). Additionally, on the day before the upcoming holiday (June 7), Metro Line 14 will switch from express trains to regular trains from 12 am to 9:30 pm.
To further facilitate people's travel, each metro line in the city will arrange one to two reserved trains, which will be available in case there is a surge in passenger flow at any time during the holiday.

It is predicted that the average passenger flow of the metro will exceed 7.5 million from June 8 to June 10 and reach over 10.50 million on June 7.
Meanwhile, the National College Entrance Examination will be held from June 7 to June 9. Therefore, it is recommended to use the metro during non-rush hours.
