Recently, the list of the first batch of pilot cities of integration between industry and education in Guangdong province was released. Foshan is on the list.

In 2020, the plan to construct pilot cities of integration between industry and education of Guangdong province (hereinafter referred to as "the plan") was released to promote the integration of education chain, talents chain, industrial chain and innovation chain and accelerate the construction of a modern economic system.

The plan puts forward that by 2025, at least 5 municipal pilot cities should be constructed in the Pearl River Delta. In this way, new methods, new models and new paths can be further explored, promoting the combination of education supply and industrial demands, and the integration of industrial development and education reform.

According to the plan of Foshan, by 2022, it will form a layout of integrated development of industry and education that emphasizes "one belt and three areas", cultivate two to three integreated industries, construct over 100 integrated enterprises and a batch of training bases and innovation platforms.
