Local hospital in Foshan partnered up with Soochow University

On February 27, Heyou International Hospital (hereinafter referred to as "Heyou Hospital") has signed a cooperation framework with the State Key Laboratory of Radiation Medicine and Protection, Soochow University. The two parties plan to carry out in-depth scientific cooperation in proton heavy ion radiation biology and radiation oncology. As agreed, the South China Clinical Center of the State Key Laboratory of Radiation Medicine and Radiation Protection will also be built in Heyou Hospital.



Both parties will join hands to build the first proton heavy ion radio-biology research and clinical platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, so as to enhance local clinical diagnosis, treatment and basic research in radiology. As of medical talents, the project will include joint efforts between the two parties to train more professionals in radiology, to push for more progress in national particle project.



With talent resources and R&D capabilities in radiology from Soochow University, the two parties will work to build the Graduate Work Station of Soochow University in Heyou Hospital, producing more creative ways of medical talents training. Every year, medical worker will be sent to Soochow University for further study and training. Soochow University will provide nuclear medicine teaching resources, including online open courses and virtual experiments of nuclear medicine.
