Construction work on a new industrial base of Senior Technology Material Co., Ltd. began on March 26 in Danzao town, Nanhai.

Totaling 10 billion yuan investment, the new energy material industrial base is constructed by Shenzhen Senior Technology Material Co., Ltd. The project is expected to build a lithium battery separator production base with an annual production capacity of 3.2 billion square meters of wet separator, 1.6 billion square meters of dry separator and 3.4 billion square meters of coated separator.

"We choose to settle in Nanhai for its optimized amenities, talents resource and government service," said Chen Xiufeng, CEO of Shenzhen Senior Technology Co., Ltd. This new project is the second 10-billion-level project invested by the company with the hope of constructing it into a benchmark factory and the flagship of the new energy field. Up next, the company will accelerate the layout of the EU and ASEAN region.

The energy storage industry to which Senior Technology belongs is an important branch of the new energy industry. In recent years, Nanhai has introduced 7 projects totaling more than 10 billion yuan in the field of new energy, including Senior Technology, REPT Energy, State Power Investment Corporation, MEIJIN Hydrogen Energy, International Green Hydrogen, BOLTPOWER and FAW-Volkswagen New Energy Vehicle, with a total investment of nearly 130 billion yuan, forming a complete industrial chain of hydrogen energy and electrochemical energy storage, and initially building a new energy industry cluster with strong competitive advantages and influence.

Gu Yaohui, secretary of the Nanhai District Party Committee, said that he hoped that this project can strengthen its cooperation with upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain such as China Southern Power Grid and REPT Energy Energy, FAW-Volkswagen New Energy Vehicle, etc., to form industrial collaboration and further improve the whole industrial chain of new energy in Nanhai.
