An economic and trade delegation with nearly 50 enterprises organized by Foshan Bureau of Commerce are carrying out economic and trade exchange activities in Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia from March 30 to April 8.

On March 31, the Guangdong (Foshan)-Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) Economic and Trade Cooperation Matching Meeting was successfully held in Ho Chi Minh City, with nearly 500 people attended the meeting, and the value of trade and investment contracts reached 1.3 billion yuan. The meeting aims to promote Foshan's economic status and further enhance the influence of Foshan products in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, therefore helping Foshan enterprises better expand the Southeast Asian market.

As Vietnam is one essential country in Southeast Asia, Foshan has been attaching great importance to the relationship with it. In 2022, the total import and export volume between Foshan and Vietnam reached 21.6 billion yuan (about 3.1 billion US dollars), with a year-on-year increase of 27.8%. At the meeting, Foshan Bureau of Commerce and Business Association of China in Vietnam signed a memorandum on economic and trade cooperation, hoping to jointly promote cooperation between Chinese and Vietnamese enterprises.

Focusing on home appliances and furniture, machinery and equipment, pharmaceuticals, and other fields, the Foshan Economic and Trade Delegation actively sought cooperation opportunities with Vietnamese enterprise representatives, and the signed trade and investment orders reached 1.3 billion yuan.
