In 2022, the total import and export volume between Foshan and Thailand exceeded 23.85 billion yuan, about 3.59 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 19%. Li Jingluan, head of the Economic and Trade Delegation and deputy director of Foshan Bureau of Commerce, said, "Data show that the economic and trade cooperation between Foshan and Thailand has entered the fast lane with a solid foundation and broad prospects."
In the morning of April 3, the China Guangdong (Foshan)-Thailand (Singmalia) Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference was held in Singmalia Trade City. In the afternoon of the same day, Li Jingluan also visited the Chinese Embassy in Thailand and met with Wang Liping, counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand.
In the morning of April 4, Li Jingluan led the delegation to visit Midea Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd. In Thailand to exchange the experience of Foshan enterprises in investing and setting up factories in Thailand. In the afternoon, the delegation visited the EEC Thailand Eastern Economic Corridor Special Zone and inspected the development, investment promotion and policies of the EEC zone.
During the stay in Thailand, Foshan Economic and Trade Delegation made a busy schedule to help Foshan's enterprises develop the Thailand market. At present, China-Thailand economic and trade exchanges are gradually recovering and showing a considerable growth trend. The two sides expect to grasp chances and make greater contributions to China-Thailand economic and trade cooperation.
After the stay in Thailand, the Foshan Economic and Trade Delegation had gone to Indonesia for further economic and trade exchanges on April 5.
