On April 3, the SPIC South China Hydrogen Energy Industrial Base Project has made significant progress in its construction plans after successfully obtaining 75,780 square meters of land in Danzao, which are expeted to accelerate the production localization of key materials such as proton exchange membrane and carbon paper.
With a total investment of approximately 10 billion yuan, the construction of SPIC Hydrogen Energy Base Project is divided into three phases. The first phase, with a 2-billion-yuan investment, aims to establish production lines for membrane materials, carbon paper, fuel cells, power systems and create a product research innovation platform of fuel battery critical technology.
In order to support the manufacturing industry, Danzao has allocated land resource to major projects and emerging industry clusters, enabling large industry carriers to undertake large projects. The GBA New Energy Industrial Park with a total planned area of 666.6 hectares (10,000 acres) is being constructed in Danzao, striving to achieve an output value of over 100 billion yuan in 5 years.
On March 27, Nanhai released the 2023 Action Plan for Promoting Manufacturing Industry, proposing to make Nanhai the leading district in hydrogen energy industry. For now, Nanhai has gathered more than 130 enterprises and institutions and formed a complete hydrogen energy industry chain with independent intellectual property rights. With a total investment of more than 60 billion yuan and a potential annual output value of over 100 billion yuan, Nanhai is making progress towards achieving its plan.
