Recently, the second phase of the Nanhai Sports Center project was completed. Located in Shishan Town, Nanhai District, the venue covers a total construction area of approximately 32,000 square meters and a capacity of 10,000 people. It is an important livelihood and cultural and sports project in Nanhai District, as well as the only newly built comprehensive venue in Foshan City.

The project is divided into two phases. The first phase includes a stadium, swimming pool, comprehensive training hall, Nanhai amateur sports school, and outdoor facilities, which were completed in November 2021. In December of the same year, the stadium successfully hosted the summary conference of the 10th Foshan Games.

The second phase of the Nanhai Sports Center project includes a multifunctional main stadium and an auxiliary training hall. With a total construction area of approximately 32,000 square meters and a capacity of 10,000 people, it is capable of hosting professional sports competitions and esports tournaments.

This venue is not only a rare dedicated sports competition venue in Foshan but also the first formal venue capable of hosting large-scale esports tournaments.

The design concept of "dual-use" demonstrates innovative thinking in keeping pace with the times, which is advantageous not only for Nanhai District to innovate the development of sports culture but also for the comprehensive development in the New Era.

In the future, this project will be based in Nanhai, serving Foshan, facing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and become a national sports industry demonstration base, sports training modern leisure sports complex, Nanhai national fitness center, youth sports training base, cultural and sports education center, and city card for Nanhai.

The completion of the Nanhai Sports Center will further improve the national fitness service system, meet the needs of mass sports activities, enhance the happiness of people, and inject new vitality into the creation of a quality, vibrant, and happy Nanhai.
