From August 24 to August 31, a trade delegation from Nanhai embarked on an eight-day economic and trade exchange and investment promotion tour in the Middle East. The delegation traveled to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), visiting 12 key enterprises and institutions to discuss several major cooperation projects with the Middle East. The intensive project meetings and efficient face-to-face communication resulted in significant success in attracting investment and promoting trade.

The delegation's first stop was the King Salman Science Oasis. The two sides discussed collaborating on a science festival, through which Nanhai plans to showcase its Hydrogen Energy Exhibition, letting more Middle Eastern companies know about Nanhai. The delegation also engaged with Alfanar Group, Maharah Company, and the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), and held an online discussion with the government of Mecca on hydrogen production from waste and hydrogen fuel cell technology.

Apart from the advantageous position in new energy and hydrogen industries, Nanhai also has a solid foundation in traditional industries such as construction ceramics. During this visit, the Nanhai trade delegation visited Saudi Arabia's Elegant Industrial Company.

Moving forward, Nanhai aims to actively promote and organize enterprises to go abroad together, with plans to establish a Nanhai Industrial Park in Saudi Arabia to create a complete overseas home furnishing supply chain.

During the visit to Saudi Arabia, the delegation also visited the Saudi Ministry of Investment to understand the country's industrial development and favorable policies for foreign investment. They explored the feasibility of a joint investment between Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund and Nanhai's state-owned assets. The delegation also visited NGS Company, signed a trade cooperation framework agreement. NGS General Manager Sha Jianwen was honored with the title of "International Investment Ambassador of Nanhai District."

In the UAE, the delegation's first stop was the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, followed by a visit to La Stella Investment Group. As the hydrogen industry in the UAE is still in its early stages, this visit deepened the company's understanding of Nanhai's hydrogen industry, laying the foundation for future cooperation with Nanhai's hydrogen enterprises.

The delegation also met with the UAE China Cross-border E-commerce Association and the UAE Guangdong Business Association, aiming to use the Guangdong Business Association platform to promote Nanhai's home furnishing products overseas. They also explored the possibility of establishing a Nanhai product exhibition and sales center in Phase 2 of Dragon City in cooperation with the UAE E-commerce Association.

During their time in the UAE, the delegation actively facilitated a technical cooperation bridge between China National Petroleum Corporation Middle East Company and Xianhu Laboratory and visited Global Surfaces, a client of Nanhai-based Huigu Technology, introducing the benefits of operating a factory in Nanhai.

During the visit, the Nanhai delegation extended a sincere invitation to Middle Eastern companies to attend the upcoming China Hydrogen Energy Industry Conference in Nanhai. They also plan to organize a group of local new energy and home furnishing enterprises to quickly visit the Middle East to assess the business environment and promote Nanhai manufacturing on a global scale.
