Mayor Zhu Wei Urged the Construction of Line Two

Several worksites of rail transportation projects in Foshan have entered an intense state of construction. Yesterday, Mayor Zhu Wei led his team to inspect subway project line 2 and line 3, sending his greetings to front-line workers. Zhu Wei emphasized that quality and safety should be ensured during the construction.


Zhu Wei visited over 150 workers who were working hard at the first stage of the three standard Hua Xian Section(三标花仙区间) of Line 2. Zhu gave his praise to these worker since they devoted their holiday to the construction of the project . He also encouraged the workers to roll up their sleeves and work with added energy.

The main structures of five stations of the first stage of Line 2 are expected to complete this year. Workers are working hard to connect the tunnels at the end of March next year. The first stage of line 2 is expected to be in trial operation in December 2019. Zhu Wei pointed out that  the construction progress of Line 2 should be promoted, making citizens benefit from it as soon as possible, meanwhile, this project will bring positive effects to other transportation projects.

 

The construction of settling chamber of subway line 3 is to start before 30th Mar. Mayor Zhu Wei said that line 3 is the longest subway line in Foshan, its also the biggest unit construction project in Foshan working as the trunk line to connect the north and the south of Foshan. It’s critical for the overall advance of rail transportation in Foshan.
