On March 3, the Peoples Government of Nanhai District signed an investment agreement with Infintis (Shanghai) Hydrogen Energy Development Co., Ltd. so as to build a headquarter in Danzao, Nanhai and roll out a hydrogen energy promotion program in materials transport. The two parties planned to introduce thousands of hydrogen-energy forklifts for application.

The headquarter planned in Nanhai will be the main body of the company’s business. The project, with a total investment of 700 million yuan, is divided into two phases – 200 million yuan for the first phase in 9 months to build an system assembly with a capacity of 5,000 sets per year, and 500 million for the second phase to build that with an expanded total capacity of 10,000 sets per year. Meanwhile, the second phase project also looks to develop a high-power hydrogen-driven system with a total production capacity of 5,000 sets per year.

As revealed by Hu Quan, general manager of Infintium (Shanghai), the logic behind this project lies in the fact that hydrogen-energy forklift has not been widely commercialized in China at the moment. The project, accordingly, will help promote the use of hydrogen-energy forklifts. A big data platform will also be designed as a part of Nanhai New Energy Vehicle (Hydrogen) Supervision Platform that provides real-time data analysis and information releases.

Acquired by Shanghai Dare Group in 2018, Infintis is the worlds leading supplier of material handling hydrogen power systems and now dedicates itself to developing a bigger Chinese market and entering more industries like logistics and retail industry.

Li Yi, chairman of Shanghai Dare Industrial Group Co., Ltd. attended the signing ceremony yesterday, said that Nanhai, Foshan has an insightful view on hydrogen energy projects, technologies, and products. The future of this industry here is promising, and his team will introduce more industrial resources from countries like the U.S. and Germany. They are confident to become a world leader in the sector of hydrogen-energy forklifts.

In a long run, this project is of great significance to Nanhai’s hydrogen energy industry. In recent years, Nanhai has strived to improve its hydrogen energy industry chain and gathered hydrogen-energy related enterprises in numerous sectors, including automobiles, aircraft, ships, agriculture, medical care, community management, etc. Focusing on hydrogen-powered forklifts, Infintis is well-positioned to enter the hydrogen forklifts sector and upgrade the ecology of hydrogen energy development in Nanhai.
