From a birds-eye view, Lingang International Industrial Community in Jiujiang Town, Nanhai District of Foshan (hereinafter referred to as "Lingang Community") looks like a huge "peach". Home to a land plot spanning across 2 square kilometers, Lingang Community has developed into a new engine for high-quality growth of new economies, which came as a result of village-level industrial park renovation in Nanhai District. On July 16th, ANDRITZ, one of the leading advanced equipment suppliers, has held a groundbreaking ceremony for its expansion project in Jiujiang Town, Nanhai District, Foshan.

ANDRITZ has presence in Foshan for more than two decades. First in Chancheng and then Sanshui, ANDRITZ has continued to expand its industrial parks in Foshan. Last year, it has topped a turnover of approximately RMB 4 billion yuan and created 1,400 job opportunities locally.

As planned, Lingang Community will breed tons of high-end industrial clusters, such as new materials, medical and health supplies, smart equipment manufacturing, green "smart home", and Comprehensive Health (food and beverage). That has created a friendly environment for innovation, from which projects like ANDRITZ has largely benefited.

The expansion project launched by ANDRITZ taps into potentials of various kinds. When new industrial bases are completed, productivity at ANDRITZ will be largely increased by 3 times at most.  It will also be able to launch new products, including key equipment for paper and pulp industry. Plus, "green and intelligent" development is also a growing trend for ANDRITZ. As early as in overall planning, ANDRITZ has incorporated the concepts of "sponge city" and solar power. With that being said, ANDRITZ seeks to generate 2.2 million kWh of electricity each year and reduce carbon emissions by 50% by 2025.
