With more than 1,000 large and small garment factories, Junan, Shunde in Guangdong Province takes cowboy clothing as its main industry. 60% of the garment factories are export-oriented. Wang Desheng, General Manager of Guangdong Foshan Ligao Garment Co., Ltd., has been engaged in cowboy garment export for more than 20 years. In the first half of this year, his garment processing factory was very busy, and the orders have been arranged to the end of this year.
Wang Desheng said that the orders from Australia are now arranged until January next year. There are also orders from Italy, which are also lined up to this November.
In the workshop of another garment company in Shunde, workers are working overtime for rush order from the United States. The person in charge here said that affected by the pandemic, many textile and garment enterprises in India, factories in Pakistan and other countries cant guarantee normal delivery. European and American retailers transfer a large number of orders to Chinese in order to ensure supply.
Due to the ongoing global pandemic, domestic production enterprises have shown great, and textile and clothing exports have maintained positive growth. According to the General Administration of Customs, from January to July 2021, Chinas total textile and clothing exports were $168.351 billion, with a growth of 10.95% compared to 2019.
