On Feb. 4th, the result of 2017 iF Design Award was released. The “Yishan Qian”(一扇牵) speed adjustable soft-close hinge designed by DTC(东泰五金集团) won iF Design Award, which is the“Oscar” of Design World. As an representative of China-made product, this product set a new benchmark of hardware industry.
iF Product Design Award started in 1953, which was one of the four top industry design awards around the world. The winner was elected periodically by iF Industrial Forum Design, the oldest industrial design institute in German, which is famous for its independent, strict and reliable evaluation criteria. This criteria not only pays attention to the appearance of the product, but also takes its performance, environment protection and brand value into consideration.
Soft-close hinge is a furniture hardware accessory product which can be used in the door connection. The “Yishan Qian”(一扇牵) speed adjustable soft-close hinge designed by DTC(东泰五金集团) has several advantages. Firstly, it can open and close more than 10,000 times, which is longer than the EU(European Union) life span test standard. “Winning this prize means DTC’s product has received International recognition, it is a great success in return for years of innovation research, ”Wu Zhihui, the chairman of DTC said. He introduced that DTC strived for excellence in product design and production and now has 138 researchers, 906 patents and 360 of them are patents for inventions.
