In recent years, smart household appliances and intelligent machines become new favorites of domestic production and consumer market. Compared with that, it is relatively late for smart productions to get popular in overseas market. In this year’s Canton Fair, foreign trade orders featuring in "intelligence” has an obvious increase.

Smart household appliances go global
As a giant of Foshan household appliances, Galanz Group focuses on smart products as last year. Li Wenjian, brand manager of Overseas Marketing Department of Galanz introduced that so far the profit of overseas market takes up over 60% and the increase reaches 10%, among which the amount of export of smart household appliances rises 15%.
"Although Galanz has occupied the domestic market of smart household appliances, it started to export smart household appliances in batches last year, thus leading to a rapid increase.” Li said that among the exported smart household appliances, microwave, the brand-name product of Galanz still plays a leading role, taking up 50% of the export.
Another giant Chigo Air Conditioning has also paved the way of going global. As one of the core development strategies of Chigo, intellectualization has become a new power of overseas market. Last year Chigo experienced a growth in overseas market despite of the downturn of global air-conditioning market, especially in European and African markets, with a year-on-year growth of sales reaching 16.4% and 36.2% respectively.

Intelligent machines rising overseas
While smart household appliances are exploiting overseas consumer market, intelligent machinery equipment made in Foshan also rises in overseas market.
In the Canton Fair stand of Foshan Golden Milky Way Intelligent Equipment Co Ltd, there are automatic machines that produce construction glue and lithium battery. These machines can replace 50-60 workers and sold to America, European countries and Southeast Asian regions.
"The Southeast Asia takes up 50% of the export market while America and European countries 30%.” Zheng Lunchang, a staff in charge of import and export department of the company noted that they had a greater advantage in the Southeast Asian market that demanded better cost performance.
When Golden Milky Way is looking on “the Belt and Road Initiative” market, Irobot in Nanhai District has already set up a joint venture in India, producing polishing robots. The products of Irobot focus on specific demands in cooker production industry and the company is praised as the “smartest” by Indian purchasers, having great market opportunities in India.
Besides, the famous brand Media is also exploiting the overseas market of robots. Last year, Media achieved the successful acquisition of KUKA AG (KUKA), a leading global supplier of intelligent automation solutions. Acquiring KUKA can not only promote the automatic transformation of the company, but also occupy industries in many regions in the world by robots made by Media.
Big data maintenance and 3D printing
Apart from automatic production machines, many machinery products with the functions of after-sales repair are sold overseas, accelerating the process of Foshan enterprises entering into overseas market.
Two thirds of the products of Foshan Constant Hydraulic Machinery Co Ltd are sold to Southeast Asian market. In order to provide better localized service, Constant researched and developed a set of remote maintenance system. Depending on intelligent system, Foshan Boffin Mechanical & Electrical Co Ltd built a “one hour” service circle with a concept of “fast” in India and Africa.
3D printing technology is another impetus of made in Foshan getting popular in overseas market. Before then, Foshan Nanhai Zhongnan Machinery Co Ltd exported the first metal printing machine made in China to Turkey.
