This years Spring Festival travel rush will start on January 21. With the overall opening of Guangfo Metro, 46 new trains at Foshan West Railway Station, and the resumption of flights at Foshan Shadi Airport, all of them will have an impact on the work of the Spring Festival travel rush. According to estimates, this years Spring Festival passenger dispatch in Foshan will be more than 15.5 million, with a year-on year increase of 10%. The peak of passenger flow is expected to emerge from January 31 to February 3.    

During the Spring Festival travel rush this year, Foshan West Railway Station is the main venue in Foshan, and its average daily passenger traffic is expected to double that of last year. In response to this change, the traffic department of Foshan revealed that it would focus on the collection and distribution of key hubs such as Foshan West Railway Station, including extending the morning and evening service time of the routine public transport of Foshan West Railway Station, and scientifically opening the auxiliary bus special line.  

It’s reported that during the Spring Festival travel rush this year, Foshan West Railway Station plans to open 69 pairs of trains and add 46 new trains, including 41 pairs of daily lines, 13 pairs of peak lines and 15 pairs of night lines (0:00 to 6:00). 

According to the arrangement, some of the trains from Guangzhou South Railway Station to East Nanning, North Guiyang, Liuzhou, and South Kunming before the Spring Festival were adjusted to start at Foshan West Railway Station. Besides, trains to North Guiyang, West Chongqing, East Chengdu were added. Foshan West Railway Station is expected to have a large increase in passenger flow this year.
