Shunde Innovation Park of Science and Technology Park of South China University of Technology opens today (Jan. 23). It is a strategic science and technology park co-built by Foshan government and South China University of Technology (located in north Shunde), and it will become an important innovation carrier for docking the whole Guangzhou-Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Corridor.

Location and industry advantages attract South China University of Technology to favor Shunde

South China University of Technology Science and Technology Park Shunde Innovation Park only took six months from contract to use, setting the fastest speed of cooperation projects between Chinese and industrial schools. The reason for choosing Shunde is that it’s optimistic about the strong industrial base and superior location conditions in northern Shunde. As the industrial center of the Pearl River Delta Area, Shundes GDP exceeded 300 billion yuan last year, owning two industrial clusters of over 200 billion yuan for home appliances and machinery. Shunde Innovation Park is only 3 kilometers away from Guangzhou and is adjacent to the first stop of Shunde section of Guangzhou Metro Line 7. It will take only 5 minutes to get to Guangzhou in the future.

The park is located in the third phase of Shunlian Machinery City in Chencun Town. It belongs to the industrial community of Satellite Town of Guangzhou High Education Mega Center, with a total area of about 40,000 square meters. It is an important accelerator of Science Park of South China University of Technology. The park will make full use of the rich scientific and technological achievements of South China University of Technology and the resources of industry, give full play to the function of regional collaborative innovation and development, seamlessly connect with Shunde Intelligent Science and Technology Park, the Midea Global Intelligent Innovation Center, the Satellite Town of Guangzhou High Education Mega Center, Guangdong Industrial Design City and other innovative carrier resources to carry out scientific and technological achievements transformation, high-tech enterprises incubation, innovation and entrepreneurship training and cooperation between industry-university-research, accelerating the docking with Guangzhou and Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Corridor.

Cooperate to build a better environment

In order to support the development of the park, Shunde also provides corresponding awards to support the daily operation of the park, the construction of the talent team, the establishment and operation of the project site and the investment incubator fund of the innovation park, and there are also housing and living subsidy for the high-level talents in the park.
