On Dec 25, Foshan Meteorological Department announced that Foshan officially began winter from December 17. It's understood Foshan is defined as a "Winterless Region". The last time that winter successful arrived Foshan was on January 29, 2018. On the day of winter solstice this year, the Nanhai National Basic Weather Station has recorded the lowest temperature in Foshan as low as 4.6℃ since the beginning of this year, which was also the coldest winter solstice in Foshan since 2000.

It is getting cold, and all kinds of heating equipments have become the flagship products in many shops.

A shopkeeper claimed that he bought ten percent more goods than in previous years. Many people are willing to buy because it is cold this year, but they prefer to buy the cheapest products.

Frigid weather also promotes the sales of Foshan-made heating equipment manufacturing enterprises. Bandon company, which mainly produces ultra-low temperature air source heat pumps in Shunde, has recently received continuous orders.

The manager of Bandon stated their products have covered most area of northeast and northwest of China. And there is also a 20%-30% increase in sales as the colder weather brings better sales.

Although the winter has come, Foshan will not be continually cold. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, these days will see continued clear and dry weather in Foshan. As the temperature rises slowly, the highest temperature is expected to return to 20℃this week.
