On August 8, construction work was rolled out for Foshan Science & Technology Innovation Park (hereinafter referred to as "the project"), a regional center of Shenzhen Science & Industrial Park in Foshan West Railway Station, a new transportation hub in Foshan. Fundamentally, the project stands as a model for fostering cooperative relations between Foshan and Shenzhen.

The groundbreaking ceremony has also seen the inauguration of Foshan Nanhai (Shenzhen) Industrial Service Center, so that the two-way windows between Nanhai District and Shenzhen industrial enterprises are established.

Shenzhen Science & Industry Park Group Co., Ltd. will be responsible for the project in overall planning, construction, operation and management. As the first science and technology park co-founded over 3 decades ago by Municipal Government of Shenzhen and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in Chinese mainland, the park has been the cradle for tons of tech giants such as Huawei, ZTE, Lenovo, GWM, FIYTA, Tencent, Skyworth, etc.

With a planned area of about 226,666 ㎡, the project gathers various strategic emerging industries that includes new generation of information technology, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, inspection and testing, R&D and design, transformation of scientific & technological achievements, e-commerce services and innovation & entrepreneurship services. As estimated, at least 150 leading enterprises, coupled with upstream and downstream enterprises, will be included in the project, which empowers Foshan with stronger technological capacity to upgrade its traditional industry and help to strike a balance between city development and industrial growth.

Foshan West Railway Station is positioned as a pilot area that integrates national advanced manufacturing and modern service industries. Surrounded by a solid manufacturing foundation, the area lays extra focus on industries of headquarters economy, information service, supply chain management service, professional service and high-quality life service. Given such decent geographical location and transportation, the project to settle in seems a perfect match with the area.

With an area of over 2,000 square meters, Foshan Nanhai (Shenzhen) Industrial Service Center stands at the heart of Shenzhen Science and Technology Park, a technological and industrial innovation highland with global influence, which could be used for exhibitions, visits, receptions, services, and roadshows.

Up next, by leveraging advantages of Shenzhen Science & Industrial Park in park operation, investment promotion, incubation & cultivation, technology finance, technology think tanks, big data policies, and full industry chain services, the center looks to serve both sides of Foshan and Shenzhen.

It is foreseeable that Foshan West Railway Station will see more integrated development of people, city, industry and culture, so as to become the west gateway of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a potential spot connecting Guangzhou and Foshan, and a new growth pole in central Foshan.
