The 135th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, opened on April 15th, and Foshan enterprises welcomed global customers with their latest products.

The scale of exhibition breaks the record

The area of this exhibition is 1.55 million square meters, with over 74,000 booths and more than 29,000 participating companies, marking a new record of the number of participating companies.

Foshan Bureau of Commerce has organized 628 Foshan companies to participate, occupying 1,896 booths. Compared with last year, the number of exhibitors and booths has increased by 40 and 81 respectively, showcasing outstanding products and enterprises from Foshan.

"Foshan Intelligent Manufacturing" showcases new innovative productivity

The theme of Canton Fair is "Advanced Manufacturing," highlighting cutting-edge industries and technological innovations.

During the phase I of Canton Fair, there are lots of traditional sectors such as home appliances, consumer electronics, and machinery, which all share a similar characteristic--intelligence. The application of intelligence has further extended to areas such as smart home appliances, education, and healthcare.

Cross-border e-commerce section debuts

Notably, the Canton Fair has introduced cross-border e-commerce section for the first time, with Foshan having the largest exhibition area among the participating cities. Over ten local companies, including Yueyin Trading Co.,Ltd. and Nanhai Zhongyu Import & Export Co.,Ltd., have presented a wide range of products, from daily necessities to ceramic sanitary ware and hardware accessories, aiming to promote the cooperation and development between traditional channels and new cross-border e-commerce.

The 135th Canton Fair will be held in three phases, with themes of "Advanced Manufacturing," "Quality Home Furnishings," and "Better Life" respectively. Currently underway is the first phase, from April 15-19.

A spokesperson from the Foshan Bureau of Commerce stated that Foshan's exhibitors are numerous, strong, and competitive in product quality. A dedicated team has been established to actively address the needs of exhibitors, providing full support to help these enterprises expand market and gain orders.

Furthermore, during the Canton Fair, the Foshan Bureau of Commerce will organize the 2024 Night Consumption Festival, inviting merchants and tourists from all over the world to visit Foshan.
