Among them, in terms of industrial projects, the construction of projects such as the biotechnology industry, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials industry, and modern service industry is progressing rapidly, with investment completion rates exceeding 40%.
Several major manufacturing industry projects, such as the GBA Gold and Jewelry Innovation Ecological City and the Carlsberg (Foshan) Beer Production Base Project have started construction. Preparatory projects have also started construction ahead of schedule.
In order to promote a good step for the economy in the first quarter, Foshan held a "competitive bidding, racing for the first place" major project construction activity in five districts, to drive large investments with these projects and support the manufacturing industry and high-quality development. At the same time, Foshan issued the provincial and municipal key construction project plans for 2023, strictly implementing project "list-based" management, strengthening project progress tracking and consultation, focusing on solving “blockages” that restrict project construction, and promoting a group of major projects to start construction.
