On January 9, China Resources Zhongjie Intelligent Warehousing and Logistics Park, officially started construction in Lecong Town, Shunde District. With a total investment of 1.3 billion yuan, the commencement of the project marks the promotion of Shunde in solving historical problems of enterprises and effectively revitalizing idle resources.

Developed and constructed by China Resources Asset Management Company through the revitalization of the land resources of Foshan Dongri Plastic Logistics Company, the project covers an area of 167,400 square meters (equivalent to 251 mu) with a total construction area of 313,800 square meters. It will be constructed in two phases, and it is planned to build a large logistics warehouse park with multiple logistics warehouses and comprehensive buildings.

The first phase of the project, with a construction area of about 260,000 square meters, is expected to complete the ground foundation in June 2024. In addition, the construction of all the warehouse main floors will be completed by the end of 2024. The whole phase I project will be completed and put into operation by 2026. Phase II project is expected to run by the end of 2028.

China Resources Asset Management plans to build this project into a benchmark project in the Greater Bay Area Innovation Park, which is a modern, intelligent and comprehensive logistics hub integrating multiple functions of "high-standard warehouses + intelligence". The completion of the project will adopt an efficient logistics chain instead of traditional warehousing and transportation pattern, eventually boost the high-quality development of the real economy in Foshan.

Wu Kaizhao, member of Standing Committee of the Shunde Party Committee, said that the groundbreaking of the China Resources Zhongjie Intelligent Warehousing Logistics Park project provided strong support for the good start of Shunde's economy in the first quarter. In recent years, Shunde has actively laid out the construction of intelligent logistics, giving full play to the key role of logistics in shaping industrial competitive advantages.
