From March 23rd to 25th, Appliance & Electronics World Expo (abbreviated as AWE) was held at Shanghai Hongqiao National Convention and Exhibition Center. At the booths, tons of Foshan enterprises displayed their latest products and cutting edges technologies that they are working on.

After being shut down due to the pandemic last year, AWE this year took up an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters in six exhibition halls where over 1,000 brands made their appearance. World-renowned Foshan brands, including Midea, Galanz, Vanward and Macro, exhibited many new products powered by "black technologies". The exhibition provided evidence to Foshan’s major breakthroughs in home appliance manufacturing.

Guangdong Vanward New Electric Co., Ltd. just announced its two new brands - “Banfu" and "Congmi" (“颁芙”、 “聪米”). The former was tailored towards high-end consumers, with professional, intelligent, systematic and integrated kitchen heating solutions; the latter focused on kitchen and household appliances as a way to deliver a carefree living experience for young consumers.

In Macro’s vision, it is a trend that home appliances and 3C electronic products will follow smaller sizes of functional devices in the future. Macro showcased a small heater, only half the size of a traditional one.

Guangdong Delmar Technology Co., Ltd. introduced new technologies for in-house water security solutions at the exhibition, such as a full-time fresh water purifier, a seamless homoiothermic shower system and nano-water ion sterilization technology.

 
Galanz presented its “Black King Kong” (黑金刚) series, air disinfector GZ2020, and a collection of microwave ovens (infrared constant temperature microwave ovens, micro-roasting integrated machines, bakery ovens, steaming ovens, and micro-steaming and roasting integrated machines). Most impressively, the air disinfector GZ2020 has been proved to wipe out coronavirus, with an inactivation rate of 99.99%, as authorized by the Fudan Science and Technology Center of Fudan University.

At AWE2021, in addition to exhibiting new products to the audience, Foshan home appliance companies also had more "hardcore" technologies in store.

Electromechanical business group from Midea Group stood out with its key products in home appliances, automobiles, industrial automation, and 3C (computer, communication and consumer goods), marking its first time to publicize its four major industrial layouts.

Galanz and Yuefang Technology exhibited the open-source chip "BF-Xijiao" based on the RISC-V architecture, as well as applied microwave oven products that attracted many audiences.
