Recently, the China Construction Industry Association unveiled the list of winners for the second batch of the Luban Prize for Chinese Construction Projects (National Prime-quality Project) for the years 2022-2023. The Phase Two construction project of Jihua Laboratory successfully made it to the list.

The Luban Prize for Chinese Construction Projects (National Prime-quality Project), abbreviated as the "Luban Prize," is an award guided by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China and implemented by the China Construction Industry Association. It is awarded every two years and stands as the highest honor for engineering quality in the Chinese construction industry.

The award-winning project of Jihua Laboratory commenced on April 23, 2020, and was completed for use by March 2023, covering an approximate area of 172,000 square meters. This project is a key initiative in both Foshan and Guangdong Province, also receiving central budget subsidies from the National Development and Reform Commission for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The Phase Two construction project of Jihua Laboratory integrates traditional Lingnan architectural culture with modern architectural technology, embodying the harmonious coexistence of people, architecture, and the environment.

It features scientific research and experimental facilities, including new general laboratories, a technology incubation building, and supporting research facilities. With comprehensive functionality and well-equipped facilities, rational planning and effective construction management contribute to providing a superior research environment and foundational conditions, thereby supporting the laboratory's development.

It is noteworthy that the Phase One construction project of Jihua Laboratory previously received the Luban Prize for the years 2020-2021. The consecutive Luban Prize achievements for the same construction project are exceptionally rare, underscoring the exceptional construction quality and standards of Jihua Laboratory.
