Recently, three high-speed rail projects in Gaoming, Foshan, including Guangzhou-Zhanjiang HSR Airport Section, Zhuhai-Zhaoqing HSR Jiangji and Gaoming-Zhaoqing Sections have entered into sprint construction period.

These three projects have 13 segments in Gaoming, with 7 segments of Zhuhai-Zhaoqing HSR Jiangji Section competed early-stage preparation and 6 remaining segments undergone construction. Nowadays, the total investment for these projects has reached 1.228 billion yuan, achieving the annual target.

Gaoming HSR Station has been included in the blueprint since 2021. Recently, the Scheme of Gaoming HSR Station Traffic Allocation Mechanism (hereinafter referred to as Scheme) was released. According to the Scheme, the first phase construction will reach 16.9k square meters. By introducing high-speed rail, intercity rail, metro and high-speed road to this area, it is expected to build a multi-functional aviation hub system.

Meanwhile, Gaoming HSR Station will service as an import joint to further connect with other areas in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Nowadays, high-speed rails like Zhuhai-Zhaoqing HSR, Shenzhen-Nanning HSR and Guangzhou-Zhanjiang HSR have already connected to this station. In the future, more urban metro lines will be introduced, including Zhaoqing-Shunde-Nansha Intercity Rail, Foshan Metro Line 2 and Airport Express Metro Line.

After serious assessments on multiple factors, the final location of Gaoming HSR Station is set to be the west side of Sanzhou Industrial Park.

Once completed, the station will greatly enhance the connectivity of Gaoming, Foshan. To the west, passengers could reach Guangxi, Sichuan, Chongqing area via Zhuhai-Zhaoqing HSR and Shenzhen-Nanning HSR. To the north, passengers could interchange at Guangzhou via Guangzhou-Zhanjiang HSR, then arrive at the eastern coastal city cluster. To the south, the station is connected with Zhuhai and Macao through Zhuhai-Zhaoqing HSR. Lastly, it is connected with Shenzhen and other areas in East Guangdong by Zhaoqing-Shunde-Nansha Intercity Rail and Zhuhai-Zhaoqing HSR.
