From May 19 to 21, the 31st Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) was held in Guangzhou. Foshan organized 28 local enterprises to attend the exhibition, presenting the charm and uniqueness of Lingnan culture to the public.
With the theme of "Taste Foshan", Foshan enterprises presented visitors traditional Lingnan cultural elements such as lion dance and dragon boat.
For instance, "Pen-pening Ceremony", a traditional school-opening ceremony originated from Confucianism in ancient China, was introduced by staff from Sanshui Forest Park where there exists the largest Confucius temple in South China. The reproduction of the ceremony not only enabled visitors appreciate the essence of Lingnan culture, but also helped promote local tourism products.
In addition, Foshan culture was further introduced by music. The promotional song of the first China (Foshan) Internet Audiovisual Art Week performed by 13 artists was played in the exhibition hall.
