Jiujiang strives for 16th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships

From August 7 to August 13, Jiujiang Dragon Boat Team will attend the 16th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships on behalf of China. On August 1, pep rally was held in Jiujiang Town to cheer for the team.



Regarding divisions, there will be Premier, Senior A, Senior B, Senior C, U24, Junior A, Junior B and Paradragon. Jiujiang Team will participate the following categories: 200m, 500m, 1000m and 2000m for Premier mixed classes, 200m, 500m, 2000m for Premier women classes.



With their impressive performance, they are seen as potential winners in future events. From 2008 to 2023, Jiujiang Team has achieve 751 medals. Additionally, they have attended important competitions like the Asian Games, IDBF World Champions for 23 times, receiving 122 medals in total, with 79 gold medals included.


Remarkably, on June 22, they won the championships of Standard Dragon Boat (500m) in both Open Class and Women Class in 2023 SJM Macao International Dragon Boat Races.



In the future, Jiujiang Team will challenge their limit in the 16th World Dragon Boat Racing Championships, aiming to receive decent rankings and further promote the reputation of Jiujiang Dragon Boat in worldwide stage.
