On June 13, the 4th Pingzhou Jade Jewelry Cultural Week (hereinafter referred to as "Cultural Week") was kicked off in Guicheng, Nanhai District of Foshan. For 7 days in a row, the Cultural Week will feature 17 fascinating events, ranging from offline salons, public lectures, tourism experience, boutique exhibition, to night concert, jade night market and online auction. To this date, the Cultural Week has become a trump card to promote Pingzhou as the Town of Jade and Jewelry. This year, the event has brought along tons of key investment projects, as signed on the spot.

On the opening ceremony, China Jade Research Center was also announced to settle in Guicheng, with a key mission to boost the local jade and jewelry industry, coupled with Pingzhou Town Industrial Research Institute of Jade and Jewelry.

Here are the main interests for the Cultural Week:

2) "Pingzhou Town" Short Video Contest. During this whole week, citizens are free to use their camera to capture the most gorgeous moments in Pingzhou Town. Home to tons of tourism attractions, such as y Town, such as Waterscape Corridor, Sanmian Guanyin, Treasure Hall,  New Jade Street and Old Jade Street, Pingzhou is a legendary place where memorable stories took place.

3) Educational programs. This cultural week also includes a few more public lectures on key topics, as listed below:

June 14th: Cultural Innovation Forum on New Consumption Era and Jade Jewelry

June 18th to 19th: China Experience Day of Jade Bracelet Town (4 on-site visits, namely, jade label field, jade plate intangible cultural heritage handicraft and master studio).

Essential to the opening ceremony was the new logo, "Yu Linglong", aimed at representing the industrial and tourism images in Pingzhou Foshan. "Yu Linglong" uses "monkey" as the creative prototype, with a crown with aesthetic influence typical of Lingnan Culture on its head.
