On January 26, the Chinese New Year Parade of “The Most Dazzling Lingnan Trend” in Shunde, Foshan was reported on CCTV News Broadcast. The event presented national, provincial and municipal intangible cultural heritage and traditional folk items, and invited teams wearing traditional folk costumes and Hanfu, displaying the original Foshan folk cultural characteristics.

The Chinese New Year Parade is a much expected activity for people in Foshan, which is held in Shunfeng Mountain Park on the third and fifth day of the Chinese New Year respectively. Many new year activities like the God of Wealth leading the way, lion dance, dragon dance parade, eight sound gongs and drums, fish lanterns, Hung Ga, Hanfu gave people a cultural feast, creating a lively New Year festival atmosphere and promoting the essence of traditional culture in Foshan.

Apart from the Chinese New Year Parade, there are many other fantastic activities in Shunde, Foshan like bazaar and garden visiting, concerts, fireworks show and Cantonese opera performance.
