On February 1, Shunde OCT Harbour launched Phase Two Project.
With a total investment of 6 billion yuan, the Phase-two project will cover a land of over 2 square kilometers, including 135,000 square meters of OCT cultural square. Benefiting from its geographic location, it will integrate with other tourism resources in this area, like Shunfeng Mountain, and further build one comprehensive tourism cluster with the names of “GBA Central Resort, National Tourism Resort and National 5A Tourist Attraction”.
According to the scheme, OCT cultural square will incorporate the idea of waterfront space and the theme of forests in its design, connecting Shunfeng Mountain via both water and land routes, eventually becoming the largest public central park in GBA.
The Phase-two project also includes multiple functionalities like education and entertainment. For instance, it will introduce several special areas, including beaches, jungles, and camping to build the first national indoor and outdoor natural exploration center. Additionally, the heart-shaped electromagnetic roller coaster will definitely grab visitors’ attention, becoming another iconic recreation facility in Foshan.
It is estimated to open in 2026, creating 10 thousand job opportunities and attracting an additional 500 million visitors annually. Once completed, OCT Harbour Plus as a whole is expected to reach 15 million visitor flow per year, generating 1.5 billion yuan worth of tourism consumption and 5 billion yuan of consumption in relevant industries.
