Recently, the second batch of revolutionary cultural relics list in Guangdong Province was announced, among which the former residence of Deng Pei and Chen Tiejun were selected as immovable cultural relics.

In Dengguan Village, Sanshui, a 10-meter-high eye-catching kapok plant grows in an antique-style brick wall courtyard, which is the former residence of Deng Pei, a revolution martyr.

Deng Pei was a member of CCP since its founding period, the earliest leader of local communist party in Tangshan, and an outstanding activist in early labor movement of railway workers. He made significant contributions to China' s revolution, especially to the early railway workers' movement.

Since the 1990s, Deng Pei' s Former Residence has been refurbished and expanded four times, making it one of the most representative revolutionary landmarks in Sanshui and an important part for Foshan' s plan to build itself the City of Museums.

Former Residence of Chen Tiejun


If you walk into Lingnan Tiandi, Chancheng, you will see a Qing-Dynasty-style building in brick and wood, with a noble woman stood in the middle of the courtyard.


This is the place where Foshan' s patriotic revolution martyr Chen Tiejun lived. Chen Tiejun was born in Foshan in 1904. In 1926, Chen Tiejun joined the CCP. After the failure of the Guangzhou Uprising in 1928, Chen Tiejun were arrested and executed because of the traitor' s betrayal.

Chen Tiejun' s Former Residence covers an area of about 260 square meters, in which there is a thematic exhibition showing her glorious life through pictures and items.
