Foshan, known as the birthplace of lion dancing, is home to "World Lion King" Xia Guozhang in Mingcheng Town, Gaoming District.

In recent years, Mingcheng Town has continued to hold lion dancing events, inheriting lion dancing culture. By empowering with traditional culture, it allows the general public to experience the unique charm of traditional Lingnan culture.

On the ninth day of the first lunar month, the lively Mingcheng Loong and Lion Parade kicked off in Gaoming. The event includes featured parades.

Route: Dongzhou Square (starting point) → Mingcheng Square → Commercial City → Chengqi Road → Wenchang Tower → Dongmen Xu (end point)

About 60 loong and lion dancer has participated and delivered outstanding performance. Tons of citizens have come to capture the excitement and experience the unique charm of traditional culture.

Additionally, there will be lion dance competition and martial art performance scheduled on February 24, the Lantern Festival, in Mingcheng Square.
