Foshan athlete Zheng Pengfei won silver at Mens Pair Rowing

This morning, in the 1000-meter Mens Pair Rowing Final at Tokyo Olympics 2020, Foshan athlete Zheng Pengfei and his partner Liu Hao won silver medal with 3:25:198. With a powerful kickstart, stable paddling and close teamwork, they broke the Chinese historical records and lived up to peoples expectation from Foshan and China. The win also marks the first Olympic medal for Chinese Canoe Team in 13 years.

 

 

 

When grooming for the Tokyo Olympics, the two athletes would start their daily training at 5:30 a.m. and did not stop until 6 p.m. Intense, and nearly harsh, training have built them up professionally as candidates for Olympics winners.

 

 

Today, Zhengs first coach and his parents gathered in Foshan Shunde Amateur Sports School to cheer up for him and witnessed such glorious moment.
