On July 25, Xiqiao Mountain Academy Development Seminar was officially held, which announced a cooperation between Tsinghua University and Nanhai in co-building Xiqiao Mountain Academy. 

Co-built by Nanhai Peoples Government of Foshan and Tsinghua University Culture and Creation Development Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Tsinghua Culture and Creation Development Institute"), Xiqiao Mountain Academy, as a research base of Tsinghua Culture and Creation Development Institute in Nanhai, will be committed to introducing top talents, carrying out regional tourism development research, and building a cultural card for Nanhai.

At the seminar, surrounding themes of the establishment of "Xiqiao Mountain Academy", the new path of Nanhai culture and innovation in the new era and the integrated development of culture, business, tourism and innovation, experts from universities at home and abroad made wonderful sharing speeches respectively.

"This is the first large-scale cooperation between the Tsinghua Culture and Creation Development Institute and the local government. We call Xiqiao Mountain Academy as a new research and development institution." At the seminar, Hu Yu, Executive President of Tsinghua Culture and Creation Development Institute said, Tsinghua Culture and Creation Development Institute is a well-known think-tank that is committed to solving the major problems in the field of cultural development, promoting Chinas cultural inheritance and innovation, which is the decision-making think-tank and talent-base in the field of Chinese culture area.

Enabling the construction of a famous cultural city

Xiqiao Mountain Academy is a key measure to build Nanhai into a cultural-oriented city. On the same day, the opening ceremony of C-LAB (the creative opening platform of Xiqiao Mountain Academy and Tsinghua Culture and Creation Development Institute) was also held, and the important activities such as "2021 Global AI Cultural and Creative Competition" and "Web Celebrity Festival" to be held in Nanhai were officially released.

Taking advantage of the resources and experience of Tsinghua Culture and Creation Development Institute and combining with the local culture of Nanhai, Xiqiao Mountain Academy will also hold various cultural and creative forums with strong brand influence, building Nanhai into a domestic cultural and academic highland.
