On December 3, 2023 Sanlongwan Talent Cycling event started at Dragon Boat Square in Shunde District. Chinese and foreign talents working and living in Sanlongwan rode by Dongping Bridge, Banyue Island Park and other urban landmarks, enjoyed the harmonious ecological landscape of clean water and green bank, flowers and leaves along the road, and felt the results of ecological green construction of Sanlongwan.

Sanlongwan is rich in natural ecological resources, dense river network and developed water system, which is a major advantage for the introduction of talents. Along the riverbank line of more than 400 kilometers, ecological resources such as wetland park, farmland base and flower base are distributed. It is an area with complete basic elements of "mountain, water, forest, field, lake and culture" that is rare in the city.

The route of this cycling activity is set around the 60 km greenway of Sanlongwan, with Dragon Boat Square as the starting and ending point, and the whole journey is about 25 km.

As a sub-activity of the 2023 China-Europe Culture Week, the talent ride is carried out for all people working and living in Foshan. It specially invited high-level talents , international talents, innovative and entrepreneurial talents from Sanlongwan, and elite talents from enterprises and institutions to participate.

In recent years, Sanlongwan has continuously introduced technology carriers and platforms, especially Jihua Laboratory as the representative, and accelerated the introduction of leading talents and high-level talents. Represented by Run Science Park Phase II, Meisheng Taohuayuan Science Park, Alibaba Cloud Innovation Center, etc, a number of heavy science and technology innovation projects have been introduced into Sanlongwan, which have become a new source of talents in Sanlongwan. At the same time, with continuous improvement in education, medical care and ecological support, and enrichment of cultural activities, Sanlongwan also improves its "magnetic attraction" for talents.

Zhu Xixiong, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of Foshan Sanlongwan Sci-Tech City, said that the event not only allows people to appreciate the ecological beauty of the surrounding environment, but also provides more platforms for exchanges and interactions between talents. It is also hoped that through the activity, Sanlongwan can be better displayed, and scientific innovation, culture, talent and vitality can be gathered for the development of Sanlongwan.
