From July 7 to 9, students and teachers from Taiwan's Fo Guang University and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology visited Foshan for a three-day "City Walk Encounter: Discover the Beauty of Foshan" event with Foshan University. Through site visits, hands-on experiences, and collaborative learning, participants gained a deeper understanding of Foshan's blend of traditional culture and advanced technology, fostering greater youth exchange and cultural ties between Taiwan and Foshan.

The journey began at the Foshan City Exhibition Hall, where students explored the city's development across time. This deepened their appreciation of Foshan's rich cultural heritage and modernization achievements. Following this, they visited the nationally recognized model village, Zinan Village, to witness the city's rural revitalization efforts.

Throughout the trip, students experienced the charm of Foshan's traditional culture in various ways. At the Nanfeng Ancient Kiln, they tried their hand at pottery and learned to make double-skinned milk, immersing themselves in the city's intangible cultural heritage.

At Foshan University's library and Craftsman Pavilion, they explored exhibitions on smart manufacturing, electronic information, Cantonese cuisine, and traditional Chinese medicine, gaining insight into the university's collaborations in technological innovation, achievement transformation, and talent cultivation.

They also participated in a dragon boat race on Xianxi Lake and visited the Hongsheng Memorial Hall to learn about the Choi Lee Fut martial art, experiencing Foshan's martial arts heritage.

The "City Walk Encounter: Discover the Beauty of Foshan—Foshan-Taiwan Youth Exchange Camp" was hosted by Foshan University, co-organized by Taiwan's Fo Guang University and Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, and supported by the Chancheng District and Foshan City Offices for Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Affairs.

By showcasing Foshan's unique cultural and industrial strengths, this event fostered a deeper cultural resonance and recognition among the youth of both regions, injecting new vitality into Foshan-Taiwan cultural exchanges.
